Supercapacitor Performance of NiO, NiO-MWCNT, and NiO–Fe-MWCNT Composites

open access: yesACS Omega, 2023
The NiO-CNT and NiO-Fe-CNT composites that have been prepared from waste high density polyethylene plastic and their carbon nanotube (CNT) quality-dependent supercapacitance tuning have been reported here. Multiwalled CNT (MWCNT) formation has been confirmed from TEM and Raman spectra with an ID/IG ratio of 0.77, which stands for high graphitization ...

Sensitive Formaldehyde Detection with QCM Sensor Based on PAAm/MWCNTs and PVAm/MWCNTs [PDF]

open access: yesACS Omega, 2021
Two formaldehyde detection methods are proposed by applying composite film quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) sensors. QCM sensor coated with PAAm/MWCNTs and PVAm/MWCNTs shows excellent characteristics of lower limit and high sensitivity. The lower limit of PVAm/MWCNTs is 0.5 ppm, and its detection sensitivity is 0.74 ppm/Hz.

Effect of MWCNTs Functionalization on Thermal, Electrical, and Ammonia-Sensing Properties of MWCNTs/PMMA and PHB/MWCNTs/PMMA Thin Films Nanocomposites [PDF]

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2021
Partially biodegradable polymer nanocomposites Poly(3-Hydroxybutyrate) (PHB)/MultiwalledCarbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs)/Poly(Methyl Methacrylate) (PMMA)and non-biodegradable nanocomposites (MWCNTs/PMMA) were synthesized, and their thermal, electrical, and ammonia-sensing properties were compared. MWCNTs were chemically modified to ensure effective dispersion
