Role of MWCNT concentration in MWCNT/ZnFe2O4 nanocomposites for enhanced photocatalytic performance

Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, 2020
Here, we report the MWCNT/ZnFe2O4 nanocomposites with varying MWCNT content synthesized by a hydrothermal method. The synthesized nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), photoluminescence (PL) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM).

The synthesis and microwave absorbing properties of MWCNTs and MWCNTs/ferromagnet composites

Applied Physics A, 2016
The multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) have been synthesized by chemical vapor deposition using camphor as carbon source and ferrocene as catalyst. The effect of different camphor/ferrocene ratio, calcination temperature and deposition substrates on the morphology and performance of the samples have been examined.

Effect of Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes (Mwcnt, Mwcnt-Cooh and Mwcnt-Thiazol) in the Mechanical Compression Properties of a Cement-Based Material

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2020
This study focuses on determine the mechanical compression properties of Guatemalan cement-based materials as a function of the carbon nanotubes chemical composition and loading. Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes oxidized (MWCNT-COOH) and Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes funcionalized with thiazol (MWCNT-Thiazol) were synthesized in an environment friendly reaction

Equivalent Circuit Model of MWCNT Nanointerconnects

2008 8th IEEE Conference on Nanotechnology, 2008
The transmission line model of a multi-wall carbon nanotube interconnect is formulated in the time domain, considering the statistical and the deterministic model of the conducting channel number in each shell. The equivalent per- unit-length circuit of the interconnect is derived for possible implementation in commercial circuit solvers.

Binary Au/MWCNT and Ternary Au/ZnO/MWCNT Nanocomposites: Synthesis, Characterisation and Catalytic Performance

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2010
AbstractGold nanoparticles of 10–24 and 5–8 nm in size were obtained by chemical citrate reduction and UV photoreduction, respectively, on acid‐treated multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and on ZnO/MWCNT composites. The shape and size of the deposited Au nanoparticles were found to be dependent upon the synthetic method used.

The impact of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) on macrophages: contribution of MWCNT characteristics

Science China Life Sciences, 2018
Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) have wide application prospects but also exhibit notable biotoxicity that is tightly associated with macrophages. Macrophages simultaneously act as initiators and defenders in MWCNT-induced organ lesions, and targeting macrophages with MWCNTs may be a potential immunotherapy and oncotherapy approach.

Graphting polyimide to MWCNT for enhancing dispersion and properties of MWCNT/polyetherimide nanocomposites

Journal of Polymer Research, 2014
Polyetherimide-grafted multi-walled carbon nanotube (denoted as MWCNT-PEI), polyimide-grafted MWCNT (MWCNT-PI), and acid-treated MWCNT (MWCNT-A) were prepared and well characterized by Raman spectroscopy, thermo gravimetric analysis, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. After mixing with polyetherimide (

Effect of MWCNTs surface functionalization on the characterization of PVA/MWCNTs nanocomposites

Physica Scripta
Abstract The present study aims to put forward the role of surface functionalization of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) on the enhancement thermal and hydrophilicity properties of new nanocomposite based poly(vinyl alcohol)/surface functionalized MWCNTs (PVA/MWCNTs), prepared by a facile phase inversion process. In this study, the

Influence of wrapping on some properties of MWCNT–PMMA and MWCNT–PE composites

Polymer Bulletin, 2012
The melt processing technique was used to elaborate composites made with a polymer matrix [polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) or polyethylene (PE)] and multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT). Nanotubes were wrapped by amphiphilic block copolymer (PE–co-polyethylene oxide) in aqueous solution to facilitate the dispersion and the handling. Morphology and physical
