Regio‐ and stereoselective steroid hydroxylation by CYP109A2 from Bacillus megaterium explored by X‐ray crystallography and computational modeling

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 290, Issue 20, Page 5016-5035, October 2023., 2023
CYP109A2, a cytochrome P450, is able to hydroxylate testosterone and vitamin D3. By analyzing crystal structures in a closed conformation and using steroid docking and MD simulations, we predicted regio‐ and stereoselectivities of the hydroxylation reactions.

Optimal investment and operation of a microgrid to provide electricity and heat

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 15, Issue 12, Page 2586-2595, 7 September 2021., 2021
Abstract This paper proposes a robust investment and operation model to attend the power and heat needs of a microgrid (MG) connected to the distribution system. The optimization algorithm decides on the best investment and operation of combined heat and power (CHP), boilers, PV power generation and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Feasibility analysis of GRIDSOL technology in Fuerteventura: A case study

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, Volume 2019, Issue 18, Page 5208-5213, July 2019., 2019
The power sector is experiencing a considerable transformation, shifting primary sources of energy production towards more sustainable alternatives. Despite the benefits, the increasing penetration of renewable raised concerns in terms of intermittency and unpredictability of electricity production, challenging the balance between demand and supply. To

Case Study of Atmospheric Retrievals of MWHTS aboard FY-3C Satellite

open access: yesAtmospheric and Climate Sciences, 2019
The mesoscale numerical model WRF is used to simulate the No. 8 hurricane Matthew in 2016. The radar and radiometer observations are assimilated by WRF Var. With the verification to the real situation, the process of the hurricane rainstorm is well simulated by WRF in this case that it could basically show the hurricane evolution. We use the simulation

Detection of Polyphase Codes Radar Signals in Low SNR

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, Volume 2016, Issue 1, 2016., 2016
A novel effective detection method is proposed for electronic intelligence (ELINT) systems detecting polyphase codes radar signal in the low signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR) scenario. The core idea of the proposed method is first to calculate the time‐frequency distribution of polyphase codes radar signals via Wigner‐Ville distribution (WVD); then the ...

Regional Profiles and Precipitation Retrievals and Analysis Using FY-3C MWHTS

open access: yesAtmospheric and Climate Sciences, 2016
The 89 and 150 GHz channels operated in window are sensitive to precipitation and humidity. The 183 GHz humidity-sensitive channels and 118 GHz temperature-sensitive channels of the Microwave Humidity and Temperature Sounder (MWHTS) on the Chinese Feng Yun 3C MWHTS (FY-3C MWHTS) polar-orbit meteorological satellite responds in part to precipitation ...

Research on the selection method of FY-3D/MWHTS clear sky observation data based on neural network

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2020
Abstract The selection of clear sky data in space-borne remote sensing data is very important for its data application. For FY-3D satellite microwave humidity and temperature sounder (MWHTS), an inversion system of atmospheric cloud water content by MWHTS is established based on neural network.

Research on Validation Method on Retrieval of Atmospheric Temperature and Humidity Profile Using a Microwave Sounder

open access: yesAtmosphere
The commonly used reference atmospheric profiles for the validation of retrieved atmospheric profiles for microwave sounders have bias compared with real atmospheric profile values, which is detrimental to the validation of the retrieval.

Analysis of Atmospheric Temperature and Humidity Combining MWHTS and GNOS on Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau

open access: yesDEStech Transactions on Computer Science and Engineering, 2017
The performance and characteristics of FY-3C MWHTS in orbit are presented in this paper. Then it uses surface and profile reanalysis non-rainy data from NCEP and ECMWF in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau from Jan, 2014 to May, 2015 and takes advantage of MonoRTM model to simulate brightness temperatures according to the MWHTS channel assignment, and validate by ...
