Research on global profiles and precipitation retrievals for FY-3C MWHTS

2015 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2015
The paper develops a passive sub-millimeter atmospheric profile and precipitation retrievals algorithm for Microwave Humidity and Temperature Sounder (MWHTS) onboard the Chinese Feng Yu n 3C (FY-3C) satellite. The retrieval algorithm employs a number of neural network estimators trained and evaluated using the validated global reference physical model ...

882 Local tumor control with microwave hyperthermia (MWHT) in advanced tumor disease

European Journal of Cancer, 1995
Local tumor control is considered worthwhile in patients with advanced malignant disease to improve quality of life, though there is no effect on survival. MWHT in combination with radiotherapy or chemotherapy is able to improve remission rates of radiation and chemotherapy alone significantly.

Global Precipitation Sensitivity Analysis Using the MWHTS and MWTS on FY-3D Satellite

IGARSS 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2019
There are atmospheric temperature sounding channels on the new generation of Microwave Humidity and Temperature Sounder (MWHTS) and the Microwave Temperature Sounder (MWTS) onboard the FY-3D polar-orbiting meteorological satellite, which are set at frequencies near 118.75-GHz and 50~60-GHz, respectively.

Analysis of total precipitable water and cloud liquid water from MWHTS and ACMR observations

2017 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2017
Total precipitable water (TPW) plays a major role to short range weather prediction as precipitation, flash flood and other severe weather which are closed related to distribution of water vapor. Clouds are important in the global climate change and weather as clouds control the planetary albedo and are precursor of precipitation.

In-orbit performance of microwave humidity and temperature sounder (MWHTS) of the Chinese FY-3C meteorological satellite

2014 XXXIth URSI General Assembly and Scientific Symposium (URSI GASS), 2014
FY-3C (FengYun 3C) meteorological satellite of China was successfully launched on Sept 23, 2013. MWHTS (MicroWave Humidity and Temperature Sounder) was a very important payload for measuring global atmospheric water vapour profiles; also, it adds 8 channels at 118.75GHz to sound temperature information for the first time internationally for polar-orbit

Retrieval and analysis of Integrated Precipitable Water vapor in typhoon area from MWHTS onboard FY-3C satellite

2016 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2016
A variational method based on 1Dvar is proposed to retrieve Integrated Precipitable Water vapor (IPW) in typhoon area from brightness temperatures measured by the Microwave Humidity and Temperature Sounder (MWHTS) on the Chinese Fengyun 3C (FY-3C) polar-orbit meteorological satellite.
