Prevalence and co-infection of haemotropic mycoplasmas in Portuguese cats by real-time polymerase chain reaction [PDF]
The diagnosis of feline haemoplasmosis has improved over the years, with several techniques enabling a clear and specific diagnosis, and where polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is considered as the 'gold standard'.

Determination of Mycoplasma haemofelis Incidence in Cats Visiting Veterinary Clinics in Kırıkkale
This study aimed to determine the presence of Mycoplasma haemofelis (Mhf), which is a member of the hemotropic mycoplasmas called infectious anemia of cats, known to be zoonotic, usually progresses with hemolytic anemia in cats, and can lead to the death of the cat if not treated, in the Kırıkkale province by the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method.

Blood transfusions are commonly administered to cats; associated risks include the transmission of various infectious diseases including Mycoplasma haemofelis (Mhf) and ‘ Candidatus Mycoplasma haemominutum’ (Mhm). Blood transfusions in citrate-phosphate-dextrose-adenine (CPDA-1) solution are commonly administered immediately or stored for up to 1 ...

O presente estudo avaliou a
