MR-myelography: a comparison with conventional myelography
European Journal of Radiology, 1996After creating a MR pulse sequence, called MR-myelography, the purpose of the study was to evaluate the value of this sequence in comparison to conventional myelography. Twenty consecutive patients were examined with conventional and MR-myelography concerning the clinical questions of chronic lumbago, spinal canal stenosis, herniated disc ...

Status epilepticus and seizures induced by iopamidol myelography
Purpose: To report that iopamidol myelography can induce status epilepticus (SE) in patients carrying the diagnosis of symptomatic epilepsy and to estimate the incidence of seizures in patients undergoing iopamidol myelography. Methods: We retrospectively

To the Editor. —We read with interest the article "Complications of Metrizamide Myelography" by Killebrew et al (Archives1983;40:78-80). The group of neurosurgeons with whom we are associated perform approximately 40 myelograms per month, of which a growing segment are cervical metrizamide myelograms.

Veterinary Clinics of North America: Small Animal Practice, 1993
To summarize the points discussed in this article, Small animal myelography can be performed competently and safely without specialized equipment. The newer myelographic contrast media (iohexol, iopamidol) have less neurotoxic potential than those media previously used.

Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 1983
Two hundred patients who underwent myelography with iopamidol were independently assessed as to film quality and adverse side effects. Comparison was made with a similarly assessed group of 1,000 patients who underwent myelography with metrizamide. Diagnostic quality was generally excellent with both contrast media.

Current Problems in Diagnostic Radiology, 2011
Despite recent trends toward evaluation of back and neck pain with magnetic resonance imaging, myelography and postmyelography computed tomography continue to play an important role in the workup of many patients with spinal pathology. We present techniques for the safe and efficient performance of myelography, lumbar, and cervical puncture, which ...

Myelography is rapidly becoming one of the more important radiological procedures. Within the past nine years at the Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital (Hanover, N. H.) there has been a sevenfold increase in the number of these examinations, as compared with a two- or threefold increase in other examinations, such as cholecystography, gastrointestinal ...

Epidural and subdural contrast in myelography and CT myelography
European Journal of Radiology, 1993A retrospective study of 624 lumbar myelographic and CT myelographic procedures was undertaken to evaluate the frequency, radiographic and clinical relevance of contrast medium outside the dural sac. Our findings indicate that epidural contrast is frequently identified on CT scans with highly sensitive window settings (in 35.4% of all CT myelographic ...
