Adaptive ERK reactivation hinders FLT3 tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment in FLT3/ITD acute myeloid leukemia. Here, we report that FLT3 TKI treatment rapidly induces AXL expression and upregulation that is temporally associated with the adaptive ERK reactivation.

The Topology of Mutated Driver Pathways [PDF]
Much progress has been made, and continues to be made, towards identifying candidate mutated driver pathways in cancer. However, no systematic approach to understanding how candidate pathways relate to each other for a given cancer (such as Acute myeloid leukemia), and how one type of cancer may be similar or different from another with regard to their

Early Risk Prediction of Chronic Myeloid Leukemia with Protein Sequences using Machine Learning-based Meta-Ensemble [PDF]
Leukemia, the cancer of blood cells, originates in the blood-forming cells of the bone marrow. In Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) conditions, the cells partially become mature that look like normal white blood cells but do not resist infection effectively.

Epigenetic dysregulation in chronic myeloid leukaemia: A myriad of mechanisms and therapeutic options [PDF]
The onset of global epigenetic changes in chromatin that drive tumor proliferation and heterogeneity is a hallmark of many forms cancer. Identifying the epigenetic mechanisms that govern these changes and developing therapeutic approaches to modulate ...

This study explores how sepsis affects GC progression by creating an immunosuppressive environment. Our findings reveal that sepsis promotes immune dysregulation, enhancing tumor growth and metastasis. Targeting the PD‐1/PD‐L1 pathway with monoclonal antibodies shows potential for restoring immune function and improving outcomes in cancer patients ...

Human Dendritic Cell Subsets, Ontogeny, and Impact on HIV Infection
Dendritic cells (DCs) play important roles in orchestrating host immunity against invading pathogens, representing one of the first responders to infection by mucosal invaders.

A Study of Age and Sex Bias in Multiple Instance Learning based Classification of Acute Myeloid Leukemia Subtypes [PDF]
Accurate classification of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) subtypes is crucial for clinical decision-making and patient care. In this study, we investigate the potential presence of age and sex bias in AML subtype classification using Multiple Instance Learning (MIL) architectures.

Preferential expression of the transcription coactivator HTIF1alpha gene in acute myeloid leukemia and MDS-related AML [PDF]
HTIF1α, a transcription coactivator which is able to mediate RARα activity and functionally interact with PML, is encoded by a gene on chromosome 7q32–34, which is a critical region in acute myeloid leukemias (AML). With the assumption that this gene may
