Two myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88) isoforms identified in ducks
Developmental & Comparative Immunology, 2015MyD88 is an adaptor protein involved in the interleukin-1 receptor-induced and Toll-like receptor (TLR)-induced activation of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB). In this study, we identified two isoforms of MyD88 gene, designated DuMyD88-X1 and DuMyD88-X2, from duck cells.

We describe the design and synthesis of a peptidomimetic library derived from the heptapeptide Ac-RDVLPGT-NH 2, belonging to the Toll/IL-1 receptor (TIR) domain of the adaptor protein MyD88 and effective in inhibiting its homodimerization. The ability of the peptidomimetics to inhibit protein-protein interaction was assessed by yeast 2-hybrid assay and

Role of myeloid differentiation factor 88 in HSP60 signal transduction in dendritic cells
Journal of Nanjing Medical University, 2007Abstract Objective To explore the role and mechanism of myeloid differentiation factor88 (MyD88) in HSP60 signal transduction in dendritic cells. Methods Mouse DCs were cultured from murine bone marrow cells. The DC marker CD11c was detected by flow cytometry, then DCs were divided into control group, HSP60 groupand RNA interference group ...

Myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88) is an adaptor protein involved in the interleukin-1 receptor- and Toll-like receptor-induced activation of nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-kappaB). A novel isoform of chicken MyD88, designated chicken MyD88-2, has been cloned and functionally characterized.

Toll-like receptors (TLRs) act as innate immune signal sensors and play central roles in host defense. Myeloid differentiation factor (MyD) 88 is a common adaptor molecule required for signaling mediated by TLRs. When the receptors are activated, cells bearing TLRs produce various proinflammatory cytokines in a MyD88-dependent manner.

Myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88) is a universal adaptor protein able to activate nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) through interactions with interleukin-1 receptor (IL-1R) and the Toll-like receptors (TLRs), with the exception of TLR3. Here, we describe the identification of MyD88 from the rock bream fish Oplegnathus fasciatus and its ...

Accumulating evidence supports that activation of inflammatory pathways is a crucial factor contributing to the pathogenesis of seizures. In particular, the activation of interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) system exerts proconvulsant effects in a large variety of seizure models.

A full-length MyD88 cDNA (CiMyD88) was cloned and characterized from grass carp Ctenopharyngodon idella. CiMyD88 was found to be broadly expressed and was up-regulated by grass carp reovirus (GCRV) and CiMyD88 transcripts in vitro were rapidly elevated in C. idella kidney (CIK) cells after challenge with poly(I:C).

The innate immune system, which includes toll‐like receptor (TLR) signaling, plays an important role in inflammation and oncogenesis. Although TLR common adaptor myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88) is known to have multiple effects on carcinogenesis, the role of MyD88 in hepatocarcinogenesis remains unknown.
