Abstract Heterotopic ossification (HO) is a pathological condition characterized by the formation of bone within soft tissues. The development of HO is a result of abnormal activation of the bone formation programs, where multiple signalling pathways, including Wnt/β‐catenin, BMP and hedgehog signalling, are involved.

Targeted Molecular Imaging in Adrenal Disease—An Emerging Role for Metomidate PET-CT [PDF]
Adrenal lesions present a significant diagnostic burden for both radiologists and endocrinologists, especially with the increasing number of adrenal 'incidentalomas' detected on modern computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

A fifty-two years old male presenting with a history of abdominal pain of six months duration was found on investigation to have a large non-functioning adrenal mass. Adrenal myelolipoma was diagnosed preoperatively and surgical resection was carried out. Only a small number of cases of giant adrenal myelolipoma (>3500 grams) have been reported.

Canine adrenal gland volume can be predicted based on body weight and computed tomography (CT) measurements using a validated algorithm. Use of this algorithm to detect adrenal pathology, including hyperplasia, hypoplasia and neoplasia, in clinical cases has not been described.

Computed tomographic features of canine prostatic carcinoma
Abstract Canine prostatic carcinoma (PC) has incompletely defined CT features. The purpose of this multicenter retrospective case series was to assess prostatic, regional, and distant findings of PC. Thirty dogs were enrolled. Consistent prostatic features included postcontrast heterogeneity with hypoattenuating, nonenhancing areas (30/30), capsular ...

Incidental Detection of Adrenal Myelolipoma: A Case Report and Review of Literature
Introduction. Adrenal myelolipoma is a rare tumor that is benign in nature, usually asymptomatic, unilateral, and nonsecreting. It is composed of variable mixture of mature adipose tissue and hematopoietic elements and develops within the adrenal gland ...

Adrenal myelolipoma: Report of three symptomatic cases [PDF]
Myelolipoma is a rare benign tumour composed of mature adipose tissue and nonnal haemopoietic elements. Although it can occur in extra-adrenal sites, it typically occurs in the adrenal glands.

Robotic treatment of giant adrenal myelolipoma: A case report and review of the literature
Adrenal myelolipoma is a rare mesenchymal tumour with benign biological behaviour that is mainly composed of mature adipose and myeloid tissue. Both sexes are equally affected, most commonly between the fifth and seventh decades of life. The diagnosis of
