Sodium Glycididazole Combined with Definitive Chemoradiotherapy for Patients with Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma: A Multicenter Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
• To evaluate the efficacy and safety of a radiosensitizer: sodium glycididazole (CMNa) combined with definitive concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT). • CMNa plus CCRT improved the ORR of patients compared with CCRT alone without causing significant side effects. OPN might be a predictor of the benefit of ORR of CMNa.

Studies of the effects and mechanisms of ginsenoside Re and Rk3 on myelosuppression induced by cyclophosphamide

open access: yesJournal of Ginseng Research, 2018
Background Ginsenoside Re (Re) is one of the major components of Panax ginseng Meyer. Ginsenoside Rk3 (Rk3) is a secondary metabolite of Re. The aim of this study was to investigate and compare the effects and underlying mechanisms of Re and Rk3 on ...

Construction and validation of a predictive model for the risk of myelosuppression after first-line chemotherapy in patients with advanced colorectal cancer [PDF]

open access: yesYixue xinzhi zazhi
Objective To investigate the risk factors influencing the incidence of chemotherapy-induced myelosuppression (CIM) following first-line chemotherapy in patients with moderately advanced colorectal cancer (CRC), and to develop and validate a nomogram to ...

Pharmacometabolomic prediction of individual differences of gastrointestinal toxicity complicating myelosuppression in rats induced by irinotecan

open access: yesActa Pharmaceutica Sinica B, 2018
Pharmacometabolomics has been already successfully used in toxicity prediction for one specific adverse effect. However in clinical practice, two or more different toxicities are always accompanied with each other, which puts forward new challenges for ...

Mathematical models for cytarabine-derived myelosuppression in acute myeloid leukaemia

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
We investigate the personalisation and prediction accuracy of mathematical models for white blood cell (WBC) count dynamics during consolidation treatment using intermediate or high-dose cytarabine (Ara-C) in acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).

Lomustine Nanoparticles Enable Both Bone Marrow Sparing and High Brain Drug Levels – A Strategy for Brain Cancer Treatments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Purpose The blood brain barrier compromises glioblastoma chemotherapy. However high blood concentrations of lipophilic, alkylating drugs result in brain uptake, but cause myelosuppression.

Curcumin activates DNA repair pathway in bone marrow to improve carboplatin-induced myelosuppression

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Carboplatin, a second-generation platinum agent, has been used as a cancer therapy for decades and exhibits strong anti-tumor activity. However, the wide application of carboplatin is largely limited due to its side effects, especially myelosuppression ...
