Angiotensin receptor‐neprilysin inhibitors in concurrent heart failure with reduced ejection fraction and kidney failure

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, EarlyView.
Abstract Aims Angiotensin receptor‐neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) therapy has demonstrated improved outcomes in heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). However, its benefits in patients with concomitant kidney failure undergoing replacement therapy remain uncertain. Methods and results Using the National Health Insurance Service database, we

Clinical impact of tricuspid regurgitation in patients with acute myocardial infarction

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, EarlyView.
Abstract Aims The clinical impact of tricuspid regurgitation (TR) in patients after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is largely unknown. The aim of this study was to clarify the prevalence and prognostic impact of TR in post‐AMI patients treated with appropriate primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

Prognostic impact of peak oxygen consumption in heart failure: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, EarlyView.
Based on 64 studies, each 1 mL/kg/min increase in VO2peak significantly reduced all‐cause mortality (HR: 0.86, 95% CI 0.82–0.90) and combined outcomes of ventricular assist device, transplant and all‐cause mortality (HR: 0.84, 95% CI 0.79–0.89) in patients with heart failure, though no significant association was observed with cardiovascular mortality (

Exercise-induced left septal fascicular block: an expression of severe myocardial ischemia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The electrocardiogram (ECG) criteria for the left septal fascicular block (LSFB) are not universally accepted and many other denominations can be seen in literature: focal septal block, septal focal block, left septal fascicular block, left anterior ...
