Myocardial Work in Apical Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy

Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, 2023
Pressure-strain loop analysis is a novel echocardiographic technique to calculate myocardial work indices that has not been applied to patients with apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (ApHCM). We hypothesized that myocardial work indices differ between patients with ApHCM and those with non-ApHCM.

Which is the best Myocardial Work index for the prediction of coronary artery disease? A data meta‐analysis

Echocardiography, 2023
Early diagnosis of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) plays a key role to prevent adverse cardiac events such as myocardial infarction and Left Ventricular (LV) dysfunction.

Improvement of Global Longitudinal Strain and Myocardial Work in Type 2 Diabetes Patients on Sodium–Glucose Cotransporter 2 Inhibitors Therapy

Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology, 2023
: Sodium–glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2-i) are a novel class of oral hypoglycemic agents currently used among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Work Simulation After Myocardial Infarction

Postgraduate Medicine, 1971
A good way to find out if a coronary patient can return to his regular job is to test him by work simulation. A study of 25 patients assigned to hospital work duplicating as closely as possible their regular job activities shows this method to be extremely useful.

Working capacity after myocardial infarction

European Heart Journal, 1988
The study presents data regarding the functional assessment and prognosis of acute myocardial infarction survivors resident in Prague 4 and an industrial region in north Bohemia. No demonstrable differences between the incidence of myocardial infarction in various professions were found.

Approach to optimal assessment of right ventricular remodelling in heart transplant recipients: insights from myocardial work index, T1 mapping, and endomyocardial biopsy.

European Heart Journal-Cardiovascular Imaging, 2022
AIMS Right ventricular (RV) dysfunction is an important cause of graft failure after heart transplantation (HTx). We sought to investigate relative merits of echocardiographic tools and cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) with T1 mapping for the assessment ...

Myocardial work in Stage 1 and 2 hypertensive patients.

European Heart Journal-Cardiovascular Imaging, 2021
AIMS Myocardial work (MW) is a novel parameter that can be used in a clinical setting to assess left ventricular (LV) pressures and deformation. We sought to distinguish patterns of global MW index in hypertensive vs.
