Retroperitoneal inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor
The American Journal of Surgery, 2010Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors are rare, and those located retroperitoneally are even rarer. The authors present the case of a 52-year-old male farmer with a lump in the lower abdomen of 2 months in duration that was retroperitoneal in location. It was excised, and histopathologic examination revealed an inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor.
