Zinc tolerance modulation in Myracrodruon urundeuva plants
Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, 2013We investigated Zn tolerance and related tolerance mechanisms of Myracrodruon urundeuva by evaluating the growth (biomass production, pigment content, and photosynthetic activity) and antioxidant systems (redox potential and antioxidant enzyme activities) of seedlings exposed to increasing Zn doses.

Antibacterial and antifungal activities of Myracrodruon urundeuva heartwood
Wood Science and Technology, 2008The aim of this work was to isolate a lectin from Myracrodruon urundeuva heartwood and to evaluate its antimicrobial activity against bacteria and fungi that attack plants, including woods. The lectin was isolated from heartwood through affinity chromatography on a chitin column monitored by hemagglutination assay.

Larvicidal activity of lectins from Myracrodruon urundeuva on Aedes aegypti
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part C: Toxicology & Pharmacology, 2009Aedes aegypti transmits etiologic agents of yellow fever and dengue. Vaccine for dengue virus is not available and vector control is essential to minimize dengue incidence. This report deals with the larvicidal activity of lectins isolated from Myracrodruon urundeuva bark (MuBL) and heartwood (MuHL).

New Chalconoid Dimers fromMyracrodruon urundeuva
Natural Product Letters, 1994Abstract From the inner bark of a specimen of Myracrodruon urundeuva were isolated the new chalcone dimers 1 and 2, named urundeuvina A and B, as methyl ether derivatives (1a and 2a) obtained by methylation with diazomethane. The structure elucidation of these derivatives involved spectral data analysis, including 2D NMR experiments and NOE difference ...
