Molecular Diversity of Mytilin-Like Defense Peptides in Mytilidae (Mollusca, Bivalvia) [PDF]
The CS-αβ architecture is a structural scaffold shared by a high number of small, cationic, cysteine-rich defense peptides, found in nearly all the major branches of the tree of life. Although several CS-αβ peptides involved in innate

The Complete Genome Sequences of 2 Species of Geukensia (Brachidontinae, Mytilidae). [PDF]
We present the complete genome sequences of Geukensia demissa and Geukensia granosissima. Illumina sequencing was performed on genetic material from museum specimens. The reads were assembled using a de novo method followed by a finishing step. The raw and assembled data are available via Genbank.

A study of the stable carbon and oxygen isotope composition of recent shells of Mytilidae, especially of oxygen values in relation to temperature [PDF]
Analyses of the stable isotopes 18O and 13C were made of modern marine shells of the widely distributed Mytilidae, primarily intertidal species, collected from beaches in Europe and southern Africa, as well as from Australia and Argentina.
