Invalidation of Hyperamoeba by Transferring its Species to Other Genera of Myxogastria
The genus Hyperamoeba Alexeieff, 1923 was established to accommodate an aerobic amoeba exhibiting three life stages—amoeba, flagellate, and cyst. As more species/strains were isolated, it became increasingly evident from small subunit (SSU) gene phylogenies and ultrastructure that Hyperamoeba is polyphyletic and its species occupy different positions ...

A New Myxomycetes record (Myxogastria) from Turkey: Didymium listeri Massee
Myxomycetes called Plasmodial slime moulds, or true slime molds are eukaryotic microorganisms. They live in a variety of ecosystems. Genus Didymium Schrad. (family Didymiaceae) is a myxomycete taxon containing calcareous peridia (order Physarida) and non-calcareous capillitium.

Phylogenetic relationships within the taxonomically difficult species complex Lepidoderma chailletii-carestianum (Myxogastria, Amoebozoa) were investigated by partial sequences of three independent genetic markers (18S rRNA, elongation factor 1 alpha ...

A Non‐Flagellated Member of the Myxogastria and Expansion of the Echinosteliida
AbstractMyxogastria (also called Myxomycetes or plasmodial slime‐moulds) are mostly known through their usually conspicuous fruiting bodies. Another unifying trait is the presence of a facultative flagellate stage along with the obligate amoeboid stage.

Five new Myxomycetes (Myxogastria) records from Turkey
Myxomycetes samples were obtained from Adana and Hatay provinces of Turkey. As a result of field and laboratory studies five myxomycetes species are reported as new records. Three of the new records (Arcyria cerradensis, Craterium aureonucleatum and Diderma spumarioides) were found as natural sporophore in the area.

The shiitake mushroom, Lentinula edodes (Berk.) Pegler, is widely cultivated and managed throughout China, with some of the highest yields occurring in Henan province. The shiitake mushroom is one of the most important edible mushrooms in China, and many large-scale farmers in Asia and other parts of the world also grow and trade the crop.
