Myxoma of the kidney

Urology, 1973
Abstract The fifth reported case of renal myxoma is described. This tumor was removed from a sixty-two-year-old man with a history of hematuria. Diagnostic evaluation had revealed a mass in the lower pole which produced only splaying of the intrarenal vasculature on arteriography. Right nephrectomy was performed.

Myxomas in the Fingertips

Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1988
The myxoma, a benign connective-tissue neoplasm consisting of stellate cells and a loose mucoid stroma, rarely involves the hand. Only three previous cases of myxoma in the finger have been reported in the literature. Two cases of myxoma in the fingers are presented here, one occurring in the finger pulp and the other in the subungual region.

Intramuscular Myxoma

Acta Chirurgica Belgica, 1998
Intramuscular myxoma is a rare, benign, mesenchymal tumour. It contains fibroblast-like, histiocyt-like and myofibroblast-like cells in a myxoid material. These tumours occur in adults between 40 and 60 years with a predilection for women (70%). The incidence varies between 0.10 and 0.13/100.000.

Subungual myxoma

The Journal of Hand Surgery, 1986
A true myxoma is a rare neoplasm, and there has never been a fully documented case of a subungual myxoma. We present another digital myxoma in a previously unreported location, accompanied by a review of the literature. Simple excision of the neoplasm will be curative in most cases.

Myxomas are the most common primary cardiac neoplasms. They are generally benign and most commonly arise from the left atrium. The clinical course of the left atrial myxoma is characterized by symptoms resulting from obstructive, embolic, or "constitutional" effects of the tumor (Goodwin, Lancet. 1963;1:464; Selzer et al, Am J Med. 1972;52:9; Nasser et

Laryngeal myxoma

Acta Oto-Laryngologica, 2008
Myxoma is a rare benign tumor, and occurs most commonly in the mandible and maxilla in the head and neck region. Myxoma of the larynx is extremely rare and is frequently misdiagnosed as a vocal polyp. We present the first female case of myxoma on a vocal cord and review the literature on this subject. The patient was 74 years old.

Myxoma of heart

American Heart Journal, 1946
Abstract The occurrence of a myxoma of the left atrium of the heart is reported. Embolic phenomena which have been rarely encountered in previously reported cases were most prominent in the clinical picture of this case. An attempt is made to evaluate the role of organizing thrombi in the pathogenesis of cardiac myxomas.
