Target capture sequencing clarifies key relationships in the Eriostemon group (Rutaceae: Zanthoxyloideae) and supports a reclassification of Philotheca, including the recognition of two new genera

open access: yesTAXON, Volume 74, Issue 2, Page 337-360, April 2025.
Abstract The Eriostemon group (Rutaceae) is a clade of 16 genera and ~ 209 species endemic to Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia. Recent efforts to address taxonomic and phylogenetic uncertainty in the group using plastome and nuclear ribosomal DNA sequences have made some progress but have also highlighted problematic areas that require further ...

Aerial litter mimicry: A novel form of floral deception mediated by a monoterpene synthase

open access: yesJournal of Ecology, Volume 113, Issue 2, Page 302-321, February 2025.

A New Dawn for Protist Biogeography

open access: yesGlobal Ecology and Biogeography, Volume 33, Issue 12, December 2024.
ABSTRACT Aim Biogeographers have believed for a long time that the geographical distributions of protists are only determined by environmental conditions, because dispersal is not limited. During the past two decades, the field has come a long way to show that historical and spatial factors also significantly contribute to shaping protist distributions,
