Supercooling of Myzus persicae in relation to gut content
Annals of Applied Biology, 1978SUMMARYThe supercooling distribution curves of Myzus persicae varied in response to feeding position, diet and age. Unfed instar I aphids supercooled to temperatures lower than –20 °C. Feeding aphids supercooled to higher temperatures, the earlier instars on subsidiary veins supercooling to lower temperatures than the late instars and adults on the ...

Behavioural Aspects of the Neonicotinoid Resistance of Myzus persicae
2012The peach potato aphid Myzus persicae (Sulzer) is an agricultural pest of high economic importance distributed across much of the globe. The main method of control of this pest is the application of neonicotinoid insecticides such as imidacloprid and thiamethoxam (TMX). Until recently no significant resistance to neonicotinoids was known in M. persicae.

Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1977
Abstract Seed pieces were planted 4 inches apart in marl soil on Nov 18, 1975. The plots were single rows, 15 ft long, planted on 3 ft centers. Treatments were replicated 3 times in a randomized complete block design. Insecticides were applied by hand Feb 10 with a CO2 charged 2½ gal sprayer with a single nozzle. Counts were made 1 and 6
