A note on arbitrarily vertex decomposable graphs [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2006
A graph \(G\) of order \(n\) is said to be arbitrarily vertex decomposable if for each sequence \((n_{1},\ldots,n_k)\) of positive integers such that \(n_{1}+\ldots+n_{k}=n\) there exists a partition \((V_{1},\ldots,V_{k})\) of the vertex set of \(G ...

Cell events i n cambium, connected with the formation and existence of a whirled cell arrangement

open access: yesActa Societatis Botanicorum Poloniae, 2015
The history of cambium development was reconstructed on the basis of serial tangential sections of a woody tumour of Picea excelsa (Lam.) Lk. On the area with whirled arragement of the tracheids intrusive growth was found to occur at the lateral radial ...

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

1-(Cycloheptylidene)thiosemicarbazide

open access: yesIUCrData, 2019
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C8H15N3S, contains two independent molecules. In both molecules, the seven-membered cycloheptane ring adopts a chair conformation. An intramolecular N—H...N hydrogen bond is observed in both molecules, forming S(

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

On minimum algebraic connectivity of graphs whose complements are bicyclic

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2019
The second smallest eigenvalue of the Laplacian matrix of a graph (network) is called its algebraic connectivity which is used to diagnose Alzheimer’s disease, distinguish the group differences, measure the robustness, construct multiplex model ...

4-Benzyl-6-bromo-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-4H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine monohydrate

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2010
The imidazopyridine fused ring in the title compound, C20H16BrN3O·H2O, is coplanar with the aromatic ring at the 2-position [dihedral angle = 5.2 (1)°]. In the five-membered imidazo portion, the C—N bond whose C atom

Functions of bounded characteristic in n-connected domains

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1990
The paper extends to finitely connected domains results of \textit{J. H. Shapiro} and \textit{A. L. Shields} [Am. J. Math. 97(1975), 915-936 (1975; Zbl 0323.30033)] and \textit{J. W. Roberts} [Illinois J. Math. 19, 553-559 (1975; Zbl 0313.30033)] concerning certain metric and topological properties of the Nevanlinna class N of functions of bounded ...

On Vertex-Edge-Critically n-Connected Graphs [PDF]

open access: yesCombinatorics, Probability and Computing, 1994
All digraphs are determined that have the property that when any vertex and any edge that are not adjacent are deleted, the connectivity number decreases by two.
