n-Dimensional cube and simplex: A glimpse into the concept of multi-dimensional spaces

Resonance, 2007
A close study of a square and a cube helps in extrapolating the concepts of vertex, edge and face to higher dimensions. Recurrence relationships have been heuristically arrived at, with the help of which high school students could be taught to calculate iteratively the number of vertices, edges, faces, etc of cube-like objects and simplexes of higher ...

Geometric Approach in Local Modeling: Learning of Mini-models Based on n-Dimensional Simplex

2015
The paper presents the mini-models’ method (MM-method) based on n-dimensional simplex. Its learning algorithm is in some respects similar to the method of k-nearest neighbors. Both methods use samples only from the local neighborhood of the query point.

Quadrature formulae invariant to the symmetry group of an n-dimensional simplex for a spherically symmetric weight function

Russian Journal of Numerical Analysis and Mathematical Modelling, 1998
In several previous papers the author constructed many quadrature formulae which are invariant to a certain group, for instance: to an icosahedral group (Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR 233, 784-787 (1977; Zbl 0375.65013); to the symmetry group of a 24-hedron (Russ. J. Numer. Anal. Math. Model. 13, No, 1, 13-25 (1998; Zbl 0890.41017); etc.

A note on the equivalence of the problem of embedding a regular \(n\)-simplex in the \(n\)-dimensional hypercubic lattice to a certain integral matrix completion problem

Indian Journal of Mathematics, 1985
This work is related to results by \textit{I. J. Schoenberg} [J. Lond. Math. Soc. 12, 48-55 (1937; Zbl 0015.39103)] which use the Hasse-Minkowski invariants. The authors obtain their results without the aid of this concept and add two applications based on theorems on interal matrices by \textit{M. Hall} jun.
