Regioselective N-Functionalization of Tetraazacycloalkanes

The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2005
[reaction: see text] Bisaminal type compounds obtained by condensation of pyruvic aldehyde with the suitable open-chain tetraamine followed by cyclization with either dibromoethane or dibromopropane can be regioselectively quaternized by a wide range of alkylating agents.

N-Functions and integration by substitution

Rendiconti del Seminario Matematico e Fisico di Milano, 1977
By use of a new result concerning the validity of the chain rule for the derivative of a composite function, the author succeeds in extending the classical change of variable formula for Lebesgue and Denjoy/Perron integrals to the case in which the change is effected by continuousN-functions of unbounded variation. A novelty of the resulting formula is

On a property of N-functions

Mathematical Notes of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, 1968
We consider three classes of N-functions: (Δ'), the class of functions satisfying the Δ' condition, (Δ2), the class of functions satisfying the Δ2 condition, and (MΔ), the class of functions M(u) satisfying the condition:\(\mathop {\lim }\limits_{u \to \infty }\) ln M (u) / ln u = p < ∞.

Superbasic properties of the SN functional group

Journal of Physical Organic Chemistry, 2002
AbstractQuantum‐chemical calculations (ab initio and semiempirical) were performed for neutral and monoprotonated model compounds of general formula H iXNH (where X is C, N, S or P and i = 1, 2 or 3) and thermodynamic parameters for the protonation reaction were calculated. All derivatives belong to the family of nitrogen bases. The basicity of H2SNH

Cation-Directed Enantioselective N-Functionalization of Pyrroles

Synlett, 2015
A catalytic enantioselective N-functionalization of pyrroles has been developed. Imines formed in situ via condensation underwent cation-directed cyclization with complete N-regioselectivity. The cyclized products were obtained with enantiomeric ratios up to 96:4 for aldimine substrates and up to 99:1 for trifluoromethyl ketimines.

Integral representations and transforms of N-functions. II

Siberian Mathematical Journal, 2006
Summary: We develop some mathematical method that enables us to prove extrapolation theorems for arbitrary behavior of an operator in the Lebesgue scale (i.e., in the case when the norm of the operator is an arbitrary function of \(p\)) and also in the case when the basic scale is an interval of the Lebesgue scale with exponents separated from 1 or \(+\

Electrogenerated N-heterocyclic carbenes: N-functionalization of benzoxazolones

Tetrahedron, 2009
A simple electrochemical procedure for the N-acylation and N-alkylation of benzoxazol-2(3H)-ones has been set up via electrolysis of an ionic liquid containing a benzoxazolone followed by addition of saturated or unsaturated anhydrides or alkyl halides.

Synthesis and characterization of N-functionalized enetetramines, and their properties:

2004
Two general routes are described for the synthesis of the title compounds from the reaction of, either the dimethyl acetal of N,N'-dimethylformamide and an appropriate N, N'bis(secondary amine), or sodium hydride (or potassium tert-butoxide) and 4,5-dihydroimidazolium salts.
