A13C spin-lattice relaxation study of micelle formation in aqueous solutions of sodium n-hexanoate
Colloid and Polymer Science, 1976The concentration dependence of the13C-relaxation times of the alkyl carbons in aqueous solutions of sodium hexanoate have been measured. Below CMC the relaxation is dominated by the overall motion of the hexanoate ion. In the micelles the overall motion is slower and the internal rotations around the C-C bonds contribute to the relaxation.

6-Methoxypodophyllotoxin-7-O-n-Hexanoate, a New Aryltetralin Lignan Ester from Seeds ofLinum flavum
Planta Medica, 2009A new aryltetralin-type lignan, 6-methoxypodophyllotoxin-7- O-n-hexanoate, was isolated from the seeds of Linum flavum L. var. compactum (Linaceae) by silica gel column chromatography of the dichloromethane extract. This lignan, previously detected by our group in the aerial parts of several Linum species by HPLC-MS, has now been isolated for the first

Equimolar copolymerizations of glycolide and L‐lactide were conducted in bulk in the temperature range from 100 to 160°C. The catalytic efficiency of tin(II)2‐ethylhexanoate (SnOct2) and bismuth(III)n‐hexanoate (BiHex3) were compared under identical conditions.

Abstract Infrared and Raman spectra in the solid state for potassium n-hexanoate, CH3(CH2)4CO2K, and its six kinds of specifically deuterated derivatives have been measured in the CH stretching region. Complete vibrational assignments of the CH stretching vibrations have been made.

Abstract Phase composition of foams formed from solutions of n-pentanoic acid, n-hexanoic acid, n-pentanol and n-hexanol was studied under steady state conditions. Effect of the solution concentration and gas flow rate on the liquid contents in the top layers and the whole foam columns formed was determined by a direct method consisting in cutting ...

Abstract The extraction of zinc(II) ions with n-hexanoic acid in decane and with n-hexanoic acid and pentanol in decane has been investigated. Very good isolation of zinc ions with n-hexanoic acid alone (5–10 vol%) was found to take place at pH 3.5–4.5. At pH values higher than 4.5 the extraction was impossible due to precipitate formation.
