Pressure effects on the phase separation of aqueous solutions of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (pNIPA) and poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-acrylic acid) (pNIPA/AAc) were examined at pressures up to 250 MPa. The cloud point temperature first increased and then decreased as the pressure was raised.

Synthesis and characterization of fluorocarbon‐modified poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide)
Polymer International, 2000Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) copolymers (PNIPAMs) containing pendent perfluoroalkyl (R F ) or dodecyl groups have been synthesized by copolymerization of NIPAM with small amounts of R R -acrylates or -methacrylates containing a sulfonamido moiety between the acrylate and R F groups or with dodecyl acrylate. Evidence for strong intermolecular hydrophobic

Properties of Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)-Grafted Colloidal Silica
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2000Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-3-trimethoxysilylpropyl methacrylate) was prepared by radical polymerization and was grafted onto the surface of spherical colloidal silica. The copolymer, which had on average 1 silyl group per chain, condensed on the silica dispersed in THF at 60 degrees C. The resulting particles had a critical coagulation concentration
