Synthesis and phase behavior of aqueous poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-acrylamide), poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-N,N-dimethylacrylamide) and poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) [PDF]

open access: yesColloid and Polymer Science, 2006
Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) and random copolymers of Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PNIPAM-HEMA), poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-acrylamide) (PNIPAM-AAm), and poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-N,N-dimethylacrylamide) (PNIPAM-DMAA) with various volume fractions γ of NIPAM were synthesized by radical polymerization.

Stimuli-responsive behavior of PNiPAm microgels under interfacial confinement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The volume phase transition of microgels is one of the most paradigmatic examples of stimuli-responsiveness, enabling a collapse from a highly swollen microgel state into a densely coiled state by an external stimulus. Although well characterized in bulk,

Polysaccharide-based self-assembling nanohydrogels: An overview on 25-years research on pullulan [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The aim of this overview is to review the evolution of the studies carried out, during more than 25 years, on nanohydrogels obtained by self-assembling of pullulan (PUL) using several hydrophobization strategies.

Sustained Release of Naltrexone from Poly(N‐Isopropylacrylamide) Microgels [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2014
The release of the opioid antagonist naltrexone from neutral poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAM) microgels and negatively charged PNIPAAM microgels containing acrylic acid groups (PNIPAAM-co-PAA) has been studied at various microgel and drug concentrations. The release curves were found to be well represented by the Weibull equation.

Synthesis, rheological behavior and swelling properties of copolymer hydrogels based on poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) with hydrophilic monomers

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Ethiopia, 2013
In this study, hydrogels of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-acrylamide) and poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-acrylic acid) having a thermoresponsive character were prepared by aqueous free-radical co-polymerization using the ammonium persulfate/N,N,N',N ...
