Dual‐Site Ru Single‐Atoms and RuP Nanoclusters on N, P, and B Co‐Doped Porous Carbon for Efficient Alkaline HER and AEM Water Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ru single atoms and RuP nanoclusters are co‐anchored in N, P, and B co‐doped porous carbon nanospheres via in situ carbonization/phosphidation of a boronate polymer precursor. RuP activates water, while nearby Ru single atoms accelerate H2 formation through H* transfer. The catalyst delivers low overpotential and high durability in alkaline HER and AEM

Laser Engineering of HfN‐Based Nanoparticles for Safe NIR‐I Photothermal and X‐ray Enhancing Cancer Therapies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, we produced HfN‐based nanoparticles via femtosecond laser ablation in acetone. The nanoparticles exhibit a red‐shifted plasmonic resonance in the NIR‐I window, colloidal stability after coating with polyethyleneglycol, and excellent biocompatibility. The photothermal and X‐ray sensitization therapeutic effects were demonstrated for tumor

Modeled Impacts of Farming Practices and Structural Agricultural Changes on Nitrogen Fluxes in the Netherlands

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2001
In the Netherlands, nutrient emissions from intensive animal husbandry have contributed to decreased species diversity in (semi) natural terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, pollution of groundwater, and possibly global warming due to N2O emissions.

Molecularly Engineered Highly Stable Memristors with Ultra‐Low Operational Voltage: Integrating Synthetic DNA with Quasi‐2D Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Molecularly engineered memristors integrating Ag nanoparticle–embedded synthetic DNA with quasi‐2D halide perovskites enable ultra‐low‐operational voltage, forming‐free resistive switching, and record‐low power density. This synergistic integration of customized DNA and 2D OHP in bio‐hybrid architecture enhances charge transport, reduces variability ...

Metal–Organic Frameworks for Gaseous Pollutant Management: From Capture to Neutralization and Reutilization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review maps how MOFs can manage hazardous gases by combining adsorption, neutralization, and reutilization, enabling sustainable air‐pollution control. Covering chemical warfare agent simulants, SO2, NOx, NH3, H2S, and volatile organic compounds, it highlights structure‐guided strategies that boost selectivity, water tolerance, and cycling ...

Effects of calcium on the evolution of nitrogen during pyrolysis of a typical low rank coal

open access: yesInternational Journal of Coal Science & Technology, 2019
This study aims to investigate the effects of calcium on the migration of nitrogen in coal (coal-N) to N-containing gas species, particularly, NH3 and HCN (volatile-N) in volatiles, as well as the chemical transformation of the N in char during coal ...

Effective Penetration of the Oxidized Keratin‐Rebonding Materials Into Hair Shafts Based on Charge Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We have developed a smart hair‐repair ingredient based on β‐carboxylic acid amide that undergoes negative‐to‐positive charge conversion under mildly acidic conditions. The initial negative charge facilitates deep penetration into the hair fiber, while the subsequent positive charge enables re‐bonding with sulfonate groups in damaged hair keratin.

Inhibition de la digestion anaérobie par N-NH3 : étude de la dynamique microbienne et approche métabolomique

open access: yes, 2016
Anaerobic digestion (AD) is a bioprocess widely implemented to stabilize organic waste and simultaneously produce methane - rich biogas which can be used to generate energy and heat. However, anaerobic microorganisms responsible for biological conversion of organic material into methane (CH4) are vulnerable to a wide variety of inhibitor y substances ...

Interfacial Bioengineering of Dynamic Networks Hybrid Hydrogel for Programmed Intervention in Oral Precancerous Epithelial States

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study develops a dual‐bioinspired hydrogel, MSA@PGel (macrophage membrane‐coated and salvianolic acid B/5‐aminolevulinic acid co‐loaded liposomes embedded in a polydopamine‐based gel), that integrates macrophage membrane‐mediated active targeting and mussel‐inspired wet adhesion for programmed intervention in oral precancerous lesions.
