Tidal-induced Dilution of Ammonia - Nitrogen (NH3-N) along Batang Salak [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
NH3-N is an important parameter considered for water quality monitoring. High NH3-N contents in the river system may lead into euthrophication. Tidal flushing in the river determines the assimilation capacity of the river system affected by the tide ...

Second-sphere coordination in anion binding: Synthesis and characterization of hexa amminecobalt(III) salts [Co(NH3)6](L)3.3H2O and [Co(NH3)6]Cl(L)2, LZ(CH3)3C6H2SO3 and X-ray structure determination of [Co(NH3)6]Cl(L)2

open access: yes, 2006
The reaction of hexaamminecobalt(III) chloride with sodium salt of mesitylenesulphonic acid in aqueous medium (1:3 molar ratio) leads to formation of two products of hexaamminecobalt(111) salts [Co(NH3)(6)](L)(3)(.)3H(2)O and [Co(NH3)(6)]Cl(L)2, L=(CH3 ...

Enhancing Small Molecule Sensing With Aptameric Functionalized Nano Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Unveiling an ultra‐sensitive, non‐invasive neurotransmitter sensor. For the first time, a nanoscale sensor for detecting an important neurotransmitter was demonstrated using micro‐electromechanical systems (MEMS) technology. Our approach utilized field‐effect transistor (FET)‐based readout to enable pico‐molar detection of biomarkers in sweat.

Equivalent Orbitals of NH, NH2 and NH3

open access: yes, 1966
Equivalent orbitals of NH, NH2 and NH3 have been d erived using the procedure based on the criterion of maximum overlap, from LCAO SCF MO's by Higuchi. Lone pair EO obtained from such a method contain no contribution from the hydrogen (1 s) orbitals,

Computational and experimental studies of solids in the ammonia-water system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
This thesis reports the results of first-principles computational studies of thirteen crystalline structures in the H2O-NH3 system. This includes eight low- and highpressure polymorphs of pure water ice, two polymorphs of solid ammonia, and three low ...

Waveguide Geometry–Driven Trade‐Offs in Resonant Cavity Sensor Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Waveguide geometry governs the interplay between sensitivity, intrinsic Q‐factor, and wavelength noise in silicon nitride resonant sensors. Contrary to intuition, higher sensitivity does not ensure superior performance. Low‐noise, high‐Q ridge resonators achieve the lowest detection limits, revealing that detection is ultimately constrained by noise ...
