Mechanistic Origin of Photodegradation and Impurity Effects in Donor–Acceptor Luminescent Radicals

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Purification‐dependent impurities distort the apparent optical and analytical data of TTM‐based radicals without altering their intrinsic photophysical properties. Carbazole attachment elevates the activation barrier of the photodegradation pathway, offering design principles for achieving more robust luminescent radical materials.

Graphs with a given conditional diameter that maximize the Wiener index

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
The Wiener index $ W(G) $ of a graph $ G $ is one of the most well-known topological indices, which is defined as the sum of distances between all pairs of vertices of $ G $.

The effects of environmental and soil fertility factors on plant species diversity in Kilim Geoforest Park, Langkawi, Malaysia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Mangroves contain significant biodiversity and are highly valuable for coastal communities for their daily life and ecotourism attractions. It was observed that appropriate environmental and soil factors are important for conducive growth of mangroves ...

Accelerating Luminescence in Nanostructures: Exploring the Physical Limits and Impact of Ultrafast Emission in Nanoscale Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
This review highlights recent advances in accelerating luminescence in nanostructures through cooperative emission, resonator coupling, and nonlocal light–matter interactions. By unifying concepts such as excitonic superradiance, superfluorescence, and the plasmonic Purcell effect, it reveals physical limits of ultrafast emission and their potential ...

On a relation between Szeged and Wiener indices of bipartite graphs [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions on Combinatorics, 2012
Hansen et. al., using the AutoGraphiX software package, conjectured that the Szeged index Sz(G) and the Wiener index W(G) of a connected bipartite graph G with n ≥ 4 vertices and m ≥ n edges, obeys the relation Sz(G) − W(G) ≥ 4n − 8. Moreover, this bound

Cacti with Extremal PI Index [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The vertex PI index $PI(G) = \sum_{xy \in E(G)} [n_{xy}(x) + n_{xy}(y)]$ is a distance-based molecular structure descriptor, where $n_{xy}(x)$ denotes the number of vertices which are closer to the vertex $x$ than to the vertex $y$ and which has been the

Midbrain PAG Astrocytes Modulate Mouse Defensive and Panic‐Like Behaviors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Astrocytes in the midbrain periaqueductal gray (PAG) dynamically encode threat intensity and shape defensive action selection in mice. Real‐time Ca2+ imaging reveals robust astrocytic activation during predator odor and CO2 exposure. Aberrant astrocytic Ca2+ overactivation disrupts goal‐directed escape, biases behavior toward freezing, and induces ...

Relationships between Plant Biodiversity and Soil Fertility in a Mature Tropical Forest, Costa Rica

open access: yesInternational Journal of Forestry Research, 2015
We aimed to study relationships between plant biodiversity and soil chemical fertility in a mature tropical forest of Costa Rica. Soil samples were collected in nine sampling plots (5 m by 25 m) in order to identify P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, and Al ...

Nanoscale Mapping of the Subcellular Glycosylation Landscape

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using multiplexed super‐resolution imaging with fluorophore‐labeled lectins, this study reports intracellular glycosylation at the nanoscale across organelles and synaptic specializations. Extending glycan analysis beyond the cell surface, Glyco‐STORM reveals distinct glycosylation nanodomains in the ER, Golgi, lysosomes, and synaptic sites.

Exponential Wiener index of some silicate networks

open access: yesScientific Reports
Any graph that depicts a particular molecular structure can be given a topological graph index, also known as a molecular descriptor. This index can be used to examine numerical data and discover more about specific physical properties of molecules ...
