It was found, that the interaction of the dialkylamidines and tetraalkylguanidines with sulfur tetrafluoride leads to substitution of the imido group to the fluorine atoms. This reaction takes place in the much more mild condition then such reaction for the carbonyl compounds.

C 20 H 17 N 3 O 2 cristallise dans P2 1 /n avec a=12,619, b=8,285, c=16,469A, β=94,39°, Z=4; affinement jusqu'a R=0,038. Les trois cycles phenyl sont connectes aux trois atomes N du biuret. Des liaisons hydrogene inter et intramoleculaires stabilisent la structure cristalline et moleculaire.
