A Framework to Unify the Relationship Between Numerical Abundance, Biomass, and Environmental DNA
Whether eDNA correlates more strongly with numerical abundance or biomass remains an outstanding question. We resolve this issue by demonstrating, using frameworks developed from metabolic ecology, that eDNA data can be adjusted to simultaneously reflect both parameters.

Abstract Managing the impact of land use change (LUC) in soil organic carbon (SOC) and soil health is imperative while climate change (CC) and food security are in concern. Land management practices in major land uses play a vital role in maintaining SOC concentrations and soil health.

Multiple‐dimensioned defect engineering for graphite felt electrode of vanadium redox flow battery
An ultra‐homogeneous modification was used for multiple‐dimensioned defect engineering of graphite felt electrodes for a vanadium redox flow battery. Graphite felt obtains nano‐scale etching and atom‐scale N/O co‐doping. The electrode offers a larger surface area, more active sites, and better hydrophilicity for both VO2+/VO2+ and V3+/V2+ redox ...

On the role of pre and post-processing in environmental data mining [PDF]
The quality of discovered knowledge is highly depending on data quality. Unfortunately real data use to contain noise, uncertainty, errors, redundancies or even irrelevant information.

Three-body resonances Lambda-n-n and Lambda-Lambda-n
Possible bound and resonant states of the hypernuclear systems $\Lambda nn$ and $\Lambda\Lambda n$ are sought as zeros of the corresponding three-body Jost functions calculated within the framework of the hyperspherical approach with local two-body S ...

N,N,N′-Trimethyl-N′′-(4-nitrophenyl)-N′-phenylguanidine [PDF]
The C—N bond lengths in the guanidine unit of the title compound, C16H18N4O2, are 1.298 (2), 1.353 (2) and 1.401 (3) Å, indicating double- and single-bond character. The N—C—N angles are 115.81 (16), 118.90 (18) and 125.16 (18)°, showing a deviation of the CN3plane from an ideal trigonal–planar geometry.

$n!$ matchings, $n!$ posets [PDF]
We show that there are $n!$ matchings on $2n$ points without, so called, left (neighbor) nestings. We also define a set of naturally labeled $(2+2)$-free posets, and show that there are $n!$ such posets on $n$ elements. Our work was inspired by Bousquet-Mélou, Claesson, Dukes and Kitaev [J. Combin. Theory Ser. A. 117 (2010) 884--909].
