Isomers in the N = 83 nucleus 149Dy
Nuclear Physics A, 1976Energy levels in the N = 83 nucleus 149Dy were studied by the reaction 152Gd(α, 7n) at 106 MeV bombarding energy using in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy methods. The measurements identified three isomers in this nucleus, at 1073 keV (13 ± 3 ns), at 2700±150keV (5 μs < T12 < 0.5 s), and above 3.5 MeV (50 ± 15 ns).

Weak-coupling calculation on N = 83 isotones
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento, 1982A proton-neutron weak-coupling model calculation is performed on those N=83 isotones that are far fromZ = 50 proton closed shell. The agreement between the experimental and the calculated energy level schemes is quite good. The result suggests that the weak-coupling model proposed by McGrory is applicable not only to even-even nuclei, but also to even ...

Unified model calculations for the N = 83 nuclei
Nuclear Physics A, 1971Abstract Level schemes of the N = 83 nuclei 137Xe, 139Ba, 141Ce and 143Nd are obtained in a unified model calculation. Spectroscopic factors for (d, p) reactions are calculated and compared with experimental data. Magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments of the ground state are calculated. Some (M1 + E2) transition rates are discussed in 141Ce.
