Targeting DNA‐LNPs to Endothelial Cells Improves Expression Magnitude, Duration, and Specificity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Attaching antibodies against endothelial cell surface proteins redirects the delivery and expression of DNA‐lipid nanoparticles to organs of interest. Our targeted nanoparticles enable organ‐selective DNA expression in the endothelium of the lungs, brain, or spleen, providing a therapeutic platform for dozens of endothelial‐centric diseases.

Interlamellar Keratoplasty with Nail Plate

Nail Plate Combination Fixation Versus Lateral Locked Plating for Distal Femur Fractures: A Multicenter Experience

Journal of Orthopaedics and Trauma, 2023
Objectives: To (1) report on clinical, radiographic, and functional outcomes after nail-plate fixation (NPF) of distal femur fractures and (2) compare outcomes after NPF with a propensity matched cohort of fractures treated with single precontoured ...

Strategies for the enhancement of nail plate permeation of drugs to treat onychomycosis

Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, 2022
Onychomycosis is caused by dermatophytes, non‐dermatophytes and yeasts. It has a global prevalence of 5.5%, requires long treatment periods, and has high relapse rates following therapy. Oral antifungals are generally the most common treatment.

Treatment of Distal Femur Fractures with a Combined Nail-Plate Construct: Techniques and Outcomes.

Journal of long-term effects of medical implants, 2021
A combination treatment using a retrograde intramedullary (IM) nail and a lateral locking plate has scarcely been described in distal femur fracture treatment.

Nail Plate Combination Technique for Native and Periprosthetic Distal Femur Fractures.

Journal of Orthopaedics and Trauma, 2018
In the elderly, low-energy distal femur fractures (native or periprosthetic) can be devastating injuries, carrying high rates of morbidity and mortality, comparable with the hip fracture population. Poor, osteoporotic bone quality facilitates fracture in

Subtrochanteric fractures: Zickel nail or nail-plate?

The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. British volume, 1986
Of 135 consecutive patients admitted with subtrochanteric fractures of the femur, 104 were studied; half had internal fixation with a Zickel nail and half had a nail-plate device. Fractures treated with a Zickel nail had significantly less blood loss during operation and took less time to walk with full weight-bearing, but the incidence of technical ...

Nail–Plate Constructs for Periprosthetic Distal Femur Fractures

The journal of knee surgery, 2019
Over the past several years, the nail–plate construct (NPC) has emerged as a novel construct for the treatment of challenging distal femoral periprosthetic fractures.
