Tipler naked singularities in N dimensions
AbstractA spacetime singularity, identified by the existence of incomplete causal geodesics in the spacetime, is called a (Tipler) strong curvature singularity if the volume form acting on independent Jacobi fields along causal geodesics vanishes in the approach of the singularity.

NAKED SINGULARITIES IN HIGHER DIMENSIONAL GRAVITATIONAL COLLAPSE [PDF]
Spherically symmetric inhomogeneous dust collapse has been studied in higher dimensional space–time and the factors responsible for the appearance of a naked singularity are analyzed in the region close to the centre for the marginally bound case. It is clearly demonstrated that in the former case naked singularities do not appear in the space–time ...

HKUST‐1/TiO2 composite materials show a very high photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate which increases as a function of the irradiation time until reaching a plateau and even surpasses the performance of the 1%Pt/TiO2 material after three photocatalytic cycles.

Particle motion and tidal force in a non-vacuum-charged naked singularity
We investigate the gravitational field of a charged, non-vacuum, non-rotating, spherically symmetric body of mass M assuming a static solution to the Einstein–Maxwell field equations.

Light‐Controlled Reversible Coassembly of Hybrid Functional Nanostructures
Light‐responsive hybrid nanostructures are formed by coassembling azobenzene‐ and PAH‐functionalized nanoparticles through reversible an tunable π interactions. The system enables tunable coupling between distinct components such as gold and magnetite or carbon nanotubes, producing switchable optical and magnetic properties under light and magnetic ...

Naked Singularities in the Vaidya Spacetime [PDF]
Summary: We investigate the property of a singularity which is formed by the spherical collapse of pure radiation from past null infinity, in terms of the congruence of null geodesics in the Vaidya spacetime. When the initial increase of mass due to the inflow of radiation is not so fast, the so-called shell-focusing singularity appears at the center ...

CAN BLACK HOLES DECAY TO NAKED SINGULARITIES? [PDF]
We investigate thermodynamic properties of two types of asymptotically anti-de Sitter spacetimes: black holes and singular scalar field spacetimes. We describe the possibility that thermodynamic phase transitions can transform one spacetime into another, suggesting that black holes can radiate to naked singularities.

The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

Quantum Probes of Timelike Naked Singularities in 2+1-Dimensional Power-Law Spacetimes
The formation of naked singularities in 2+1-dimensional power-law spacetimes in linear Einstein-Maxwell and Einstein-scalar theories sourced by azimuthally symmetric electric field and a self-interacting real scalar field, respectively, are considered in

Geodesic motion near self-gravitating scalar field configurations
We study the geodesics motion of neutral test particles in the static spherically symmetric spacetimes of black holes and naked singularities supported by a selfgravitating real scalar field.
