Linear Sigma Model at Finite Temperature and Baryonic Chemical Potential Using the N‐Midpoint Technique

open access: yesPhysics Research International, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
A baryonic chemical potential (μb) is included in the linear sigma model at finite temperature. The effective mesonic potential is numerically calculated using the N‐midpoint rule. The meson masses are investigated as functions of the temperature (T) at fixed value of baryonic chemical potential.

Inverse magnetic catalysis in Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model beyond mean field

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
We study inverse magnetic catalysis in the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model beyond mean field approximation. The feed-down from mesons to quarks is embedded in an effective coupling constant at finite temperature and magnetic field.

Chemical potentials and parity breaking: the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We consider the "two flavour" Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model in the presence of a vector and an axial external chemical potentials and study the phase structure of the model at zero temperature.

Dynamical Electroweak Symmetry Breaking with a Heavy Fermion in Light of Recent LHC Results

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
The recent announcement of a discovery of a possible Higgs‐like particle—its spin and parity are yet to be determined—at the LHC with a mass of 126 GeV necessitates a fresh look at the nature of the electroweak symmetry breaking, in particular if this newly‐discovered particle will turn out to have the quantum numbers of a Standard Model Higgs boson ...

Bootstrap Dynamical Symmetry Breaking

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
Despite the emergence of a 125 GeV Higgs‐like particle at the LHC, we explore the possibility of dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking by strong Yukawa coupling of very heavy new chiral quarks Q. Taking the 125 GeV object to be a dilaton with suppressed couplings, we note that the Goldstone bosons G exist as longitudinal modes VL of the weak bosons ...

Critical chiral hypersurface of the magnetized NJL model

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2018
In pursuit of sketching the effective magnetized QCD phase diagram, we find conditions on the critical coupling for chiral symmetry breaking in the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model in a nontrivial thermo-magnetic environment.

Study of Beta Equilibrated 2+1 Flavor Quark Matter in PNJL Model

open access: yes, 2012
We report a first case study of the phase diagram of 2+1 flavor strongly interacting matter in $\beta-$equilibrium, using the Polyakov$-$Nambu$-$Jona-Lasinio model. Physical characteristics of relevant thermodynamic observables have been discussed.

Two Higgs Doublets, a 4th Generation and a 125 GeV Higgs: A Review

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
We review the possible role that multi‐Higgs models may play in our understanding of the dynamics of a heavy 4th sequential generation of fermions. We describe the underlying ingredients of such models, focusing on two Higgs doublets, and discuss how they may effectively accommodate the low‐energy phenomenology of such new heavy fermionic degrees of ...

Chiral symmetry restoration and the critical end point in QCD

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2017
In a system of quark matter we study the chiral phase transition, the behavior of the chiral and quark number susceptibility and the CEP at finite temperature and chemical potential.

Equation of State for Dense Matter with a QCD Phase Transition

open access: yesUniverse, 2018
We construct a dense matter equation of state (EoS) starting from a hadronic density dependent relativistic mean-field model with a DD2 parametrization including the excluded volume corrections at low densities.
