Adaptive forwarding in named data networking [PDF]

open access: yesACM SIGCOMM Computer Communication Review, 2012
In Named Data Networking (NDN) architecture, packets carry data names rather than source or destination addresses. This change of paradigm leads to a new data plane: data consumers send out Interest packets, routers forward them and maintain the state of pending Interests, which is used to guide Data packets back to the consumers.

On Certificate Management in Named Data Networking

open access: yesCoRR, 2020
Named Data Networking (NDN) secures network communications by requiring all data packets to be signed when produced. This requirement necessitates efficient and usable mechanisms to handle NDN certificate issuance and revocation, making these supporting mechanisms essential for NDN operations.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

A Comparative Performance Analysis of Popularity-Based Caching Strategies in Named Data Networking

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Data communication in the present Internet paradigm is dependent on fixed locations that disseminate similar data several times. As a result, the number of problems has been generated in which location dependency is the most crucial for communication ...

OPMSS: Optimal Producer Mobility Support Solution for Named Data Networking

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Named data networking (NDN) is designed as a clean-slate Internet architecture to replace the current IP Internet architecture. The named data networking was proposed to offer vast advantages, especially with the advent of new content distributions in ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Routing policies in named data networking [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the ACM SIGCOMM workshop on Information-centric networking, 2011
Modern inter-domain routing with BGP is based on policies rather than finding shortest paths. Network operators devise and implement policies affecting route selection and export independently of others. These policies are realized by tuning a variety of parameters, or knobs, present in BGP.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Named Data Networking with Programmable Switches [PDF]

open access: yes2018 IEEE 26th International Conference on Network Protocols (ICNP), 2018
The Internet today is mainly used for distributing content, in a fundamental departure from its original goal of enabling communication between endpoints. As a response to this change, Named Data Networking (NDN) is a new architecture rooted on the concept of naming data, in contrast to the original paradigm based on naming hosts.
