Toward a human‐centric co‐design methodology for AI detection of differences between planned and delivered dose in radiotherapy

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction Many artificial intelligence (AI) solutions have been proposed to enhance the radiotherapy (RT) workflow, but limited applications have been implemented to date, suggesting an implementation gap. One contributing factor to this gap is a misalignment between AI systems and their users.

Dye‐Sensitized Solar Cells Inspired Method to Modulate Photo‐Induced Charge Transfer Efficiency for Enhancing the SERS Activity of Semiconductor

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView., 2023
The conduction band (CB) edge and surface state energy level of TiO2 nanoparticles shift downward with increasing Li+ concentration, which facilitates the charge‐transfer interaction between the molecules and the surface enhanced Raman scattering substrates. Abstract While the Lithium ion modification strategy is widely adopted in tuning the bandgap of

Computing First and Second Fuzzy Zagreb Indices of Linear and Multiacyclic Hydrocarbons

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2022
Fuzzy graph theory was invented by Rosenfeld. It is the extension of the work of L.A. Zadeh on fuzzy sets. Rosenfeld extracted the fuzzy-related concepts using the graph theoretic concepts. Topological indices for crisp theory have already been discussed

On characterizing proper-max-point tolerance graphs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Max-point-tolerance graphs (MPTG) was introduced by Catanzaro et al. in 2017 as a generalization of interval graphs. This graph class has many practical applications in study of human genome as well as in signal processing for networks. The same class of graphs were also studied in the name of p-BOX(1) graphs by Soto and Caro in 2015.

Boosting Entity-aware Image Captioning with Multi-modal Knowledge Graph [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Entity-aware image captioning aims to describe named entities and events related to the image by utilizing the background knowledge in the associated article. This task remains challenging as it is difficult to learn the association between named entities and visual cues due to the long-tail distribution of named entities.

Position‐dependent offset corrections for ring applicator reconstruction in cervical cancer brachytherapy

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Due to the tight curvature in their design, ring applicators are usually associated with large positioning errors. The standard practice to correct for these deviations based on global offsets may not be sufficient to comply with the recommended tolerance.

2-subcoloring is NP-complete for planar comparability graphs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
A $k$-subcoloring of a graph is a partition of the vertex set into at most $k$ cluster graphs, that is, graphs with no induced $P_3$. 2-subcoloring is known to be NP-complete for comparability graphs and three subclasses of planar graphs, namely triangle-free planar graphs with maximum degree 4, planar perfect graphs with maximum degree 4, and planar ...
