Micro/nano-encapsulation of a phase change material by coaxial electrospray method

Iranian Polymer Journal, 2015
This study is focused on the preparation of n-nonadecane-loaded calcium alginate capsules by coaxial electrospray technique. The solution and process parameters such as sodium alginate concentration, polymer feeding rate, needle gauge, needle length, needle-to-collector distance, and stirring speed were optimized through Taguchi method.

The phase change property of lauric acid confined in carbon nanotubes as nano-encapsulated phase change materials

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2018
Lauric acid (LA) impregnates in carbon nanotubes (CNTs), resulting in nano-encapsulated phase change materials (PCMs). TEM and DSC results both indicate that the filling of LA into CNTs is realized by the vacuum infiltration method. A further study of nano-encapsulated PCMs at the molecular level is investigated by molecular dynamics simulations.

Preparation and characterization of nano-encapsulated n-tetradecane as phase change material for thermal energy storage

Chemical Engineering Journal, 2009
Abstract Nanocapsules used as phase change material (PCM) were prepared by using in situ polymerization methods. N -Tetradecane was used as the core material. Urea and formaldehyde were used for the shell polymerization. Sodium dodecyl sulfate was used as the emulsifier and resorcin was used as the system modifier.
