Nano-Indentation of Anisotropic Material: Numerical Approaches to Extract Elasticities from Nano-Indentation

open access: yes, 2013
Division of Biomechanics participates in a project together with Department of Cancer Research and Molecular Medicine, NTNU, on effects of proton pump inhibitor medication on bone quality. This common anti-stomach acid medication seems to result in an increased bone fragility in humans.

Cascade‐Responsive MXene@Cu‐MOF Heterostructure Integrates Antioxidant Activity, Infection Control, and Vascularization for Tracheal Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A cascade‐responsive MXene@Cu‐MOF/GelMA hydrogel is engineered as a “skeleton–backpack” platform for extensive tracheal repair. The MXene framework scavenges postoperative ROS and converts NIR light into mild hyperthermia, while the Cu‐MOF component provides pH/NIR‐responsive Cu2+ dosing for infection control, angiogenesis, and chondrogenesis.

Local mechanical properties of corrosion layers formed on T91 and SS316L steels after exposure to static liquid LBE at 500 °C for 1000 h obtained by nano-indentation

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology
Static corrosion tests in LBE under oxygen-saturated and –depleted conditions at 500 °C for 1000 h were conducted to investigate the corrosion-induced diffusion layers on T91 and SS316L steels subject to dissolution and oxidation corrosion.

Rapid Room‐Temperature Synthesis of Te4+‐Doped Cs2ZrCl6 Vacancy‐Ordered Double Perovskites With Tunable Luminescence Triggered by Extreme Conditions for Advanced Optical Thermometry and Manometry

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Through utilizing a proposed rapid room‐temperature precipitation method, the Te4+‐doped Cs2ZrCl6 vacancy‐ordered doubles with intense STE emission were synthesized. Via using the extreme conditions, i.e., temperature and pressure, stimulus, the luminescence properties of the resulting compounds are significantly modulated, endowing their promising ...
