Durability performances of concrete with nano-silica [PDF]

open access: yesConstruction and Building Materials, 2014
This study investigated the durability properties of concrete containing nano-silica at dosages of 0.3% and 0.9%, respectively. Due to the nano-filler effect and the pozzolanic reaction, the microstructure became more homogeneous and less porous, especially at the interfacial transition zone (ITZ), which led to reduced permeability.

Performance evaluation of nano-silica concrete [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2020
In this paper, the study of the influence of nano-silica (nano-SiO2) on the properties of the interface between CSH gel and cement particles and its effect on nano-mechanical properties of the products at the interface zone was examined. In this paper M50 grade SCC mixes were developed using 5% micro-silica and various percentages of 0.5%, 1.0% and 1.5%
