Nano Silica in Cement Hydration
Materials Today: Proceedings, 2018Abstract In this paper, the performance of nanoscale SiO2 in cement paste has been studied. The compressive strength of hardened cement paste and the formation of Calcium Silicate Hydrate (C-S-H) in presence of nano silica (SiO2) increased. Heat of hydration increased with time with the addition of nanosilica.

Nano-Silica Composite Laminate
2013 IEEE 63rd Electronic Components and Technology Conference, 2013This paper introduces a newly-developed Nano-Silica Composite Laminate packaging technology that utilizes a nano-silica matrix composite material with outstanding properties. Nano-Silica Composite Laminate packaging technology enables us to create a thinner, downsized packaging that is less susceptible to warpage.

Properties of nano silica modified rubbercrete
Journal of Cleaner Production, 2016Abstract Inclusion of crumb rubber from scrap tires in concrete as partial replacement to fine aggregate in production of rubbercrete has provided many beneficial impacts to both environments and concrete. Many properties of rubbercrete are improved compared with conventional concrete.

Abstract Nano-silica (SiO2) has been widely used to fill rubbers (crosslinked) and usual polyolefin elastomers (POEs). SiO2 filled POE with crystalline structure can also be crosslinked. Crystallization, structure, and mechanical properties of crosslinked POE/SiO2 composites can be affected by SiO2.

A review on the Choice of Nano-Silica as Soil Stabilizer
Silicon, 2021Soil stabilization using nano-additives is one of the trending developments of the decade. Many novel nano-stabilizers were tested by researchers for ground improvement applications. However, the capability of such materials in soil stabilization needs further detailed practical investigations beyond the controlled research environment.

Modelling of nano-silica in cement paste
SPIE Proceedings, 2013Recently published experimental evidence shows that nano-silica is a material that can be used to enhance the strength and durability characteristics of concrete. Engineered concrete at the nano-scale is achieved through the integration of nano-materials in suitable proportions and relevant mixing methods. Being a pozzolanic and reactive material along

AbstractPoly(vinyl alcohol)/nano‐silica (PVA/nano‐SiO2) films were prepared through extrusion blowing with the addition of water and glycerin as plasticizer. The characteristic properties of PVA/nano‐SiO2films were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic mechanical analysis, Haake torque rheometry, and atomic force microscopy (AFM ...

Progress in Organic Coatings, 2009
Different nano-silicas were incorporated in an automotive OEM clear-coat based on acrylic-melamine chemistry. The morphological characteristics of the heat-cured films were investigated using scanning electron microscopy. It was found that there is a close relationship between the interfacial interactions of binder-silica nano-particles and mechanical ...
