Natural convection of nano-fluids
Heat and Mass Transfer, 2002Fluids with nano size solid particles suspended in them have been given the name nano-fluid which in recent studies have shown tremendous promise as heat transfer fluids. However, before suggesting such fluids for applications a thorough knowledge of physical mechanism of heat transfer in such fluids is wanted.

Synthesis of Nano/Microstructures at Fluid Interfaces
Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2010AbstractThe generation of novel multifunctional materials with hierarchical ordering is a major focus of current materials science and engineering. For such endeavors, fluid interfaces, such as air–liquid and liquid–liquid interfaces, offer ideal platforms where nanoparticles or colloidal particles can accumulate and self‐assemble.

Thermal conductivity enhancement in MoO3–H2O nano-sheets based nano-fluids
Materials Today: Proceedings, 2021Abstract This contribution reports on the thermal conductivity enhancement of MoO3–H2O nano-sheets based nano-fluid. The MoO3–H2O based nano-fluid consists of a set of 2D type nano-sheets with a basal size, approximately ranging from 108 × 200 nm2 to 415 × 631 nm2.

This chapter focuses on the preparation, characterization, and application of nanofluids as cutting fluids in machining. Case studies of two different methods of application, drop-by-drop and mist application, of cutting fluids in minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) are presented. Nanofluids are suspensions of nanoparticles in a base fluid.

Pool boiling characteristics of nano-fluids
International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2003Abstract Common fluids with particles of the order of nanometers in size are termed as ‘nano-fluids’ which have created considerable interest in recent times for their improved heat transfer capabilities. With very small volume fraction of such particles the thermal conductivity and convective heat transfer capability of these suspensions are ...
