Sensors which are sensitive to volatile organic compounds and thus able to monitor the conservation state of food, are precious because they work non-destructively and allow to avoid direct contact with the food, ensuring hygienic conditions. In particular, the monitoring of rancidity would solve a widespread issue in food storage. The sensor discussed

Magnetic Ion Channel Activation (MICA) enables remote stimulation of mechanosensitive ion channels using functionalised magnetic nanoparticles, enhancing extracellular vesicle (EV) biogenesis is pre‐osteoblasts. MICA desrived EVs exhibit typical nano‐vesicular characteristics but display superior pro‐osteogeneic activity, promoting mesenchymal stem ...

Abstract In this paper, we demonstrated for the first time the growth of 3D networks of graphene nano-flakes across porous stainless steel substrates of micron sized metal fibres, and its anti-corrosion properties. The controlled formation of graphene-grade coatings in the form of single sheets to complex and homogeneously distributed 2–4 μm long ...

A versatile approach is presented for fabricating smart multifunctional textiles by integrating thermo‐fluorescent carbon dot/polymer nanocomposite coatings with 3D‐printed interlocked architectures. The fabrics exhibit temperature‐responsive fluorescence, durable hydrophobicity, strong antibacterial and antioxidant activity, and enhanced UV protection.

Ion-liquid based super-capacitors with inner gate diode-like separators
We demonstrate that the capacitance of ionic-liquid filled supercapacitors is substantially increased by placing a diode-like structure on the separator membrane. We call the structured separator: gate, and demonstrate that the order of a p-n layout with

Nanotherapies for Atherosclerosis: Targeting, Catalysis, and Energy Transduction
Atherosclerosis management is hindered by poor drug targeting and plaque heterogeneity. Nanotechnology overcomes these barriers via three core strategies: (1) target‐engineered nanocarriers that achieve lesion‐specific precision via ligand modification, biomimetic camouflage, stimuli‐responsive release, and self‐propelling nanomotors; (2) catalytic ...
