Bending of functionally graded nanobeams incorporating surface effects based on Timoshenko beam model

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Mechanics Letters, 2017
The bending responses of functionally graded (FG) nanobeams with simply supported edges are investigated based on Timoshenko beam theory in this article.

Electrically driven photonic crystal nanocavity devices

open access: yes, 2012
Interest in photonic crystal nanocavities is fueled by advances in device performance, particularly in the development of low-threshold laser sources. Effective electrical control of high performance photonic crystal lasers has thus far remained elusive ...

Atomically Revealing Bulk Point Defect Dynamics in Hydrogen‐Driven γ‐Fe2O3 → Fe3O4 → FeO Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 20, 9 March 2026.
In situ TEM uncovers the atomic‐scale mechanisms underlying hydrogen‐driven γ‐Fe2O3→Fe3O4→FeO reduction. In γ‐Fe2O3, oxygen vacancies cluster around intrinsic Fe vacancies, leading to nanopore formation, whereas in Fe3O4, vacancy aggregation is suppressed, preserving a dense structure.

The vibration of nanobeam resting on elastic foundation using modified couple stress theory

open access: yesTehnički Glasnik, 2018
In this paper, the vibration of nanobeams resting on the Winkler foundation is proposed using the modified couple stress theory. Hamilton’s principle is utilized to construct the governing equations.

On Nonlinear Bending Study of a Piezo-Flexomagnetic Nanobeam Based on an Analytical-Numerical Solution

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2020
Among various magneto-elastic phenomena, flexomagnetic (FM) coupling can be defined as a dependence between strain gradient and magnetic polarization and, contrariwise, elastic strain and magnetic field gradient.

Impact of nanoparticles on double-walled carbon nanotubes, using nonlocal elasticity theory [PDF]

open access: yesمجله مدل سازی در مهندسی, 2019
Increasing the electrical resistance and reducing the conductivity of nanotubes due to the impact forces have attracted a lot of their use as power sensors.

High‐Quality Free‐Standing Diamond Micromembranes for Nanoscale Quantum Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 12, 25 March 2026.
We report a procedure for fabricating low‐damage free‐standing diamond micromembranes, and we show that this fabrication scheme preserves the optical and spin properties of state‐of‐the‐art shallow NV center quantum sensors, within nanometers of the diamond surface, while providing significant photonic enhancement.

Rectangular Photonic Crystal Nanobeam Cavities in Bulk Diamond

open access: yes, 2017
We demonstrate the fabrication of photonic crystal nanobeam cavities with rectangular cross section into bulk diamond. In simulation, these cavities have an unloaded quality factor (Q) of over 1 million.

Label‐Free Detection of PSA Using Laser‐Induced Graphene/ZnO Nanorod‐Based Impedimetric Immunosensors

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, Volume 5, Issue 3, March 2026.
A label‐free impedimetric immunosensor based on laser‐induced graphene decorated with ZnO nanorods is developed for prostate‐specific antigen detection. Antibody adsorption on ZnO enables clinically relevant sensitivity and an unconventional “signaling‐off” response, where charge‐transfer resistance decreases upon antigen binding, challenging ...

In Situ (Scanning) Transmission Electron Microscopy Investigation of Phase Transformation Mechanism in LiNiO2 Cathode During Cycling

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 9, Issue 3, March 2026.
In situ transmission electron microscopy (TEM) reveals real‐time degradation pathways in O3‐type LiNiO2 cathodes during cycling. Phase transitions, Li/Ni cation mixing, oxygen loss, and c‐axis expansion are mapped using HRTEM, 4D‐STEM, and electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS), linking structural instability to hindered Li+ diffusion.
