Nanocatalysts based on dendrimers

Pure and Applied Chemistry, 2009
Nanostructured regular materials based on dendrimers bound by covalent or coordination bonds between surface functional groups were synthesized. Bimetallic Cu(II) and Pd(II) metal complexes with nitrile-based dendrimers demonstrated high activity in Wacker oxidation of terminal alkenes along with good selectivity for methylketone formation.

Making uncommon nanocatalyst shapes

C&EN Global Enterprise, 2019
A simple vapor-phase process converts common metal precursors to unusually shaped, catalytically active metal nanocrystals that are difficult to produce via other methods. The procedure, which was used for making single-metal and bimetallic nanocrystals, may provide a low-cost route to catalysts for fuel cells and other applications (Science 2019, DOI:

Composite Metal–Oxide Nanocatalysts

ChemCatChem, 2012
AbstractTo incorporate new functionalities, various oxide materials can be composited with metal nanoparticles to form metal–oxide nanostructures, which are very promising for a wide range of applications. In this review, we summarize the recent developments in advanced synthesis of structure‐diversified core–shell, yolk–shell, Janus, and their ...

Recycling nanocatalysts by tuning solvent quality

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2010
Catalytic surfactant stabilized gold-containing nanoparticles have been recovered by a new isothermal low-energy approach, by controlled and reversible changes in colloid stability based on fine-tuning of solvent quality. Once recovered, the nanoparticles can be re-dispersed in the solvent, or indeed dispersed into a different solvent.
