A Bio‐Inspired Perspective on Materials Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This perspective discusses natural materials as inspiration for sustainable engineering designs and the processing of materials. First, circularity, longevity, parsimony, and activity are presented as essential material paradigms. The perspective then uses many examples of natural and technical materials to introduce principles such as oligo ...

SciAgents: Automating Scientific Discovery Through Bioinspired Multi‐Agent Intelligent Graph Reasoning

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The SciAgents AI model drives hypothesis generation by harnessing multi‐agent graph reasoning, extracting insights from knowledge graphs constructed from scientific papers. Each agent plays a specific role: the Ontologist defines concepts, the Scientists draft and refine proposals, and the Critic reviews.

Controllable gas sensitivity of Mg/CuO nanocomposite films measured in methanol vapor [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
The gas sensitivity of Mg/CuO nanocomposite films, characterized by varying mass ratios of Mg:CuO, was assessed under exposure to 1000 ppm of methanol vapor. Films were fabricated by the doctor blade method on conductive and nonconductive glass substrates. Structural and optical analyses were conducted using XRD and UV-Visible spectrums.

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.
