Ultrahigh Hot Carrier Transient Photocurrent in Nanocrystal Arrays by Auger Recombination. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this report, we show that a new mechanism for carrier transport in solution-processed colloidal semiconductor nanocrystal arrays exists at high excitation intensity on ultrafast time scales and allows for facile intrinsic transport between as-prepared

Ultrahigh‐resolution (λ/10) Femtosecond Laser Writing of Polymer‐Encapsulated Multicolor Perovskite Patterns Beyond the Diffraction Limit

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fabrication of in situ polymer‐encapsulated stable perovskite patterns of arbitrary shapes and pixel arrays with a resolution of 80 nm is reported by the femtosecond (fs) laser (800 nm) super‐resolution writing technique. The two‐photon absorption‐induced laser ablation is attributed to the achieved feature sizes as small as λ/10.

Surface magnetization in non-doped ZnO nanostructures

open access: yes, 2009
We have investigated the magnetic properties of non-doped ZnO nanostructures by using {\it ab initio} total energy calculations. Contrary to many proposals that ferromagnetism in non-doped semiconductors should be induced by intrinsic point defects, we ...

Synthesis of Zinc Sulfide Nanocrystals and Fabrication of Nanocrystal Superlattice

open access: yesMATERIALS TRANSACTIONS, 2004
We report synthesis of zinc sulfide nanocrystals (NCs) via formation of polymetallic thiolate cages. Nearly monodisperse ZnS NCs with size ranging from 2.2 to 7 nm were obtained by thermolysis of S-Zn-dodecanethiol precursors. The electron diffraction pattern of zinc sulfide NCs indicates that precipitates are wurtzite or mixture of wurtzite and ...

Wavelength‐Dependent Differential Amplification of Raman Scattering by Chiral Gold Nanorods for Multiplexed Encoding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The SERS spectra of reporter molecules adsorbed on chiral gold nanorods depends on the handedness of circularly polarized light (CPL‐SERS). The bisignate plasmonic CD spectra of chiral nanorods provides wavelength‐dependent CPL‐SERS. Selective discrimination of chiral nanorod handedness and different Raman reporters allow highly sensitive codification ...

Light emission from silicon with tin-containing nanocrystals

open access: yes, 2015
Tin-containing nanocrystals, embedded in silicon, have been fabricated by growing an epitaxial layer of Si_{1-x-y}Sn_{x}C_{y}, where x = 1.6 % and y = 0.04 %, followed by annealing at various temperatures ranging from 650 to 900 degrees C.
