Atomically Precise Nanocrystals [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2020
Nanocrystals are a state-of-matter in the border area between molecules and bulk materials. Unlike bulk materials, nanocrystals have size-dependent properties, yet the question remains whether nanocrystal properties can be analyzed, understood, and controlled with atomic precision, a key characteristic of molecules.

Fabrication and optical properties of water soluble CdSeS nanocrystals using glycerin as stabilizing agent. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Herein we present an unusual phosphine-free method to fabricate water soluble CdSeS nanocrystals in cubic structure. In this method, glycerin was used as a stabilizing agent replacing tri-n-octylphosphine oxide (TOPO).

Injected nanocrystals for targeted drug delivery

open access: yesActa Pharmaceutica Sinica B, 2016
Nanocrystals are pure drug crystals with sizes in the nanometer range. Due to the advantages of high drug loading, platform stability, and ease of scaling-up, nanocrystals have been widely used to deliver poorly water-soluble drugs.

Highly fluorescent CsPbBr3/TiO2 core/shell perovskite nanocrystals with excellent stability

open access: yesSN Applied Sciences, 2021
The poor stability of CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br, I) perovskite nanocrystals is the most impediment to its application in the field of photoelectrics. In this work, monodisperse CsPbBr3/TiO2 nanocrystals are successfully prepared by coating titanium precursor on

Effect of Temperature and Capping Agents on Structural and Optical Properties of Tin Sulphide Nanocrystals

open access: yesJournal of Nanotechnology, 2019
SnS nanocrystals were synthesized using bis(phenylpiperazine dithiocarbamate)tin(II) in oleic acid (OA) and octadecylamine (ODA) at three different temperatures (150, 190, and 230°C).

Study on the preparation of stabilizer-free silymarin nanocrystals and its oral absorption mechanisms

open access: yesInternational Journal of Pharmaceutics: X
Many researchers have studied the oral absorption mechanisms yet, however, considering stabilizers often participate in the absorption process of nanocrystals, these known mechanisms may be incorrect.

The Influence of Co-Precipitation Technique on the Structure, Morphology and Dual-Modal Proton Relaxivity of GdFeO3 Nanoparticles

open access: yesInorganics, 2021
Nanocrystals of gadolinium orthoferrite (GdFeO3) with morphology close to isometric and superparamagnetic behavior were successfully synthesized using direct, reverse and microreactor co-precipitation of gadolinium and iron(III) hydroxides with their ...

Colloidal Semiconductor Nanocrystals

open access: yes, 2022
In this chapter, we review colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals (NCs) and their remarkable size-dependent properties. We emphasize on colloidal nanoplatelets and explain how they differ from NCs of other classes.

Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Influence of Added Cellulose Nanocrystals on the Rheology of Polymers

open access: yesNanomaterials
The interactions between cellulose nanocrystals and six different polymers (three anionic, two non-ionic, and one cationic) were investigated using rheological measurements of aqueous solutions of nanocrystals and polymers.
