The effect of resin/hardener stoichiometry on the electrical properties of silicon nitride/epoxy nanocomposites [PDF]
The effect of resin/hardener stoichiometry was investigated for both unfilled epoxy and nanocomposite samples. The results indicate that incorporating silicon nitride nanofiller, which contains amine groups on its surface, has a significant influence on ...

Dynamic Current Routing in Conductive Liquid Crystal Elastomers for Complex Deformation Actuators
This work introduces a novel actuation control strategy in which electrical stimulation generates localized Joule heating in conductive liquid crystal elastomer (LCE) surfaces, enabling complex 3D deformations from a single homogeneous surface without preprogramming.

Interactive effects between carbon allotrope fillers on the mechanical reinforcement of polyisoprene based nanocomposites [PDF]
Interactive effects of carbon allotropes on the mechanical reinforcement of polymer nanocomposites were investigated. Carbon nanotubes (CNT) and nano-graphite with high shape anisotropy (nanoG) were melt blended with poly(1,4- cis-isoprene), as the only ...

Flexible piezopolymer ultrasound transducers are engineered by tailoring the electrode–piezopolymer interface using metallic, flake‐based, and porous graphene electrodes. Laser‐induced graphene's porous structure enables polymer infiltration, strengthening interfacial coupling and enhancing piezoelectric response and acoustic output.

The ultrathin (2.5 nm) MXene film self‐assembled at liquid interfaces breaks the trade‐off between transparency (82.5 %) and photothermal conversion effect (DT∼25.1°C ± 2.9 °C) under 100 mW cm−2. After encapsulated by a slippery surface with low adhesion, this transparent film can be applied in smart windows, eyewear, and optical sensors to autonomous ...

Breaking the Toughness‐Stretchability Trade‐Off in Hydrogels with Dynamic Hydrogen Bonding
A novel nanocomposite hydrogel architecture overcomes the inherent conflict between toughness and stretchability by integrating uniformly dispersed aminopropyl‐hybrid‐phyllosilicate nanosheets within a polyacrylamide matrix. This design leverages a dynamic hydrogen‐bonding network to facilitate efficient energy dissipation and self‐recovery.
