Phosphorus removal using nanofiltration membranes
A high concentration of phosphorus in wastewater may lead to excessive algae growth and de-oxygenation of the water. In this work, nanofiltration (NF) of phosphorus-rich solutions is studied in order to investigate its potential in removing and recycling phosphorus. Wastewater samples from a pulp and paper plant were first analyzed.

Model selection and model averaging on mortality of upper gastrointestinal bleed patients [PDF]
Model Selection (MS) is known to produce uncertainty into model-building process. Besides that, the process of MS is complex and time consuming. Therefore, Model Averaging (MA) had been proposed as an alternative to overcome the issues.

Cellulose membranes for organic solvent nanofiltration [PDF]
Abstract Cellulose membranes were fabricated by phase inversion from solutions of cellulose in 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate ([EMIM]OAc) as solvent and acetone as volatile cosolvent. The rejection of Bromothymol Blue (624 Da) in ethanol increased and the permeance decreased by increasing the cellulose concentration in the solution prior to ...

The application of membrane technology for reuse of process water and minimisation of waste water in a textile washing range [PDF]
Recycling of process streams and reduction of waste disposal using membrane technology in a continuous textile washing process after dyeing with reactive dyes have been investigated theoretically. A mathematical process model of a conventional open-width
