Low Power NIR‐LED Actuated MXene‐Loaded Photothermally Active Nanofibers

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
Biocompatible, photothermally active nanofibers were fabricated by electrospinning of Ti3C2Tx‐MXene with poly(L‐lactide‐co‐ε‐caprolactone) and polyethylene glycol. Photothermal heating can be activated by a low‐power NIR‐LED and tuned by varying the amount of incorporated MXene. Temperature increases of up to 20°C within 3 min were observed.
